We’re truly back. Or so I’ve been informed by the multitude of Call of Duty enthusiasts responding to the announcement that Treyarch is reintroducing a few beloved elements for the first season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
During today’s season one preview developer discussion, senior production director Yale Miller refers to the inaugural season of Black Ops 7 as “the largest season we have ever executed in franchise history.” Bold statements, and seemingly warranted as individuals are overwhelmingly enthusiastic about several of these features, particularly the comeback of the favored Maddox RFB from Black Ops 4 along with updated versions of classic maps Standoff and Meltdown, which haven’t appeared on the big screen since 2012’s Black Ops 2.
Season 01 of #BlackOps7 will be the most extensive post-launch content release in our history, and we’re just beginning. Overall, Black Ops 7’s first season will feature seven “signature” 6v6 maps, seven new weapons, three Zombies maps, the previously mentioned remasters, additional Zombies content and new augmentations, plus “much more” that Treyarch is keeping under wraps for the time being.
Black Ops 7 is set to launch on November 14, with the first season anticipated to commence shortly thereafter.
