Dogubomb and Raw Fury unveiled Patch 1.04.5 for the puzzle title Blue Prince today. Although Blue Prince has emerged as a standout indie title of 2025, Director Tonda Ros acknowledged in a patch-notes announcement on Steam that there are no intentions for DLC or additional content after the forthcoming update.

Blue Prince is a roguelike puzzle game where players venture through a mansion left by their great-uncle. As they hunt for a concealed 46th room, the mansion transforms each night, requiring players to draft new floor plans daily. Critics praised its design and intricate puzzles, which led to Blue Prince becoming one of the top-reviewed games of 2025.

One of the prominent enhancements in Patch 1.04.5 addresses a save-rollback issue on PS5 that had led certain players’ games to save incorrectly, causing progress to be lost. Other issues blocking progress or causing softlocks were also fixed in this patch, and the phrasing of some late-game puzzles has been refined for clarity. You can view the complete list of patch notes below, but be mindful that it includes spoilers for Blue Prince.

Patch 1.04.5 Changelog:

  • Resolved the rollback problem that interfered with saving the game on PlayStation for some players
  • Corrected a glitch that occasionally prevented users from achieving the highest rank due to a stray collider.
  • Fixed a bug that could lead to losing steps while examining the east sealed antechamber door in the gymnasium.
  • Fixed a possible collider softlock that could occur after excavating treasure in the Cloister
  • Resolved a potential collider softlock related to treasure excavation in the Closet.
  • The experiment “Gain 1 Key, 1 Gem or 1 Gold (randomly selected)” has been altered to “Gain 1 Key, 1 Gem, or 1 Die (randomly selected)”
  • Standardized all occurrences of “Christoph” to a consistent spelling.
  • Corrected a typo in the Glossary entry for “Directory”.

LATE GAME SPOILER CHANGELOG BELOW – Proceed at your own caution

  • Boat Ride cinematics can now once more be bypassed (which had previously been disabled due to a soft lock that has also now been rectified.)
  • Lever pull cinematics are now skippable.
  • Included extra safety checks to tackle reported soft locks that some users experienced in the Casino.
  • The 7-letter title in the Gallery now considers an overlooked regional spelling as a valid answer.
  • Boudoir Safe now recognizes one alternate regional solution.
  • A glitch has been fixed in the Maid’s Chamber and Servant’s Quarter that could occasionally prevent payroll from spawning.
  • A glitch has been resolved in an upgraded guest bedroom that was causing a one-time trigger to activate multiple times.

EVEN DEEPER SPOILER CHANGELOG BELOW

  • Updated the phrasing of “Question 33” for clearer understanding. The solution remains unchanged.
  • Refined the mathematical symbols of “Question 46” to enhance clarity. The solution remains unchanged.
  • Standardized Date formatting in terminal logs for uniformity.
  • Repositioned a (Blue Tents) memo in a ‘found floorplan’ to correct a bug that occasionally caused its absence. (no content change)
  • The experiment that “lowers water” will now be substituted with a variation that “raises water” if there is currently no water to lower.
  • The experiment “Each time you view your map, lose 10 steps and then” has been altered to “The next 10 times you view your map, lose 10 steps and then.
  • The experiment “Gain 1 Key for every 40 steps you have” has been modified to “Gain 1 Key for every 30 steps you have”
  • The experiment “Gain 1 Key, 1 Gem or 1 Gold (randomly selected)” has been changed to “Gain 1 Key, 1 Gem, or 1 Die (randomly selected)”
  • On Day One, the trunk in the bedroom will no longer be available only after the first draft.

Some future developments beyond this current patch were hinted at, although Ros aims to manage expectations. It was confirmed that Patch 1.10 will be the last content update that Blue Prince receives. By then, the game will include features such as a color-assist mode, controller remapping, widescreen support, new cinematics, UI and UX improvements, cryptic additions like “an overhyped arcade game and “a curious house cat,” and more. Post that, any subsequent updates for Blue Prince will strictly be for bug correction.

“It had always been my aspiration to launch a definitive version of the game at inception. I’m a huge advocate for complete standalone experiences, and it was never my intention to consistently modify the game with routine content updates, room rebalancing, or DLC and similar,” Ros articulated. “Given that this is my inaugural game, I’m incredibly proud of everything I was able to incorporate for launch, yet there are a few minor aspects that weren’t entirely finished prior to our release date that I feel must be included to realize that original vision. Those additions will be implemented in 1.10, which will be the final substantial update to the game. It will represent the definitive version.”

Once Patch 1.10 for Blue Prince is deployed in the forthcoming months, it will be content complete, so there’s no need to worry about waiting for DLC or more substantial updates before diving in. Blue Prince is accessible on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S and is included in the Game Pass Ultimate and PS Plus Extra game libraries.
