NBA 2K26 features a variety of modes and content, but creating the best MyPlayer builds is a time-honored tradition every year. Your MyPlayer is used to access a wide majority of the game’s content, and when you opt to create your own player, you need to kit them out with every attribute that makes for an NBA star. You can specify their position, height, weight, and, most importantly, attributes. The attributes, paired with your player’s position, are used to create a specific build for your MyPlayer, which often determines your playstyle across 2K26.

However, assigning the dozen-plus attributes and figuring out which ones best synergize with your chosen position can be an overwhelming task. To help you out, we have listed the best builds for each position in 2K26 in the guide below. We’ll go over the preferred height and weight for the build, along with the specific attribute ratings you should. You’re free to use the build exactly as it’s laid out, but you can also adjust some of the attributes to reflect your personal preferences.

Best Point Guard Build

Best Point Guard Build

Let’s kick things off with the point guard position. This is often one of the trickier positions to build in 2K, as there are several possible avenues to go down. You can make a passing phenom, a three-point sharpshooter, or even a taller point guard that can drive to the rim and initiate contact dunks.

For our build, we’re opting to go with a pass-first guard that can still heave up three-pointers with efficient accuracy. We’re also keeping the point guard’s height semi-grounded, so you also have the option for contact dunks if you wish.

Best Shooting Guard Build

Best Shooting Guard Build

Next up, we have the shooting guard position. This one is a little easier to build, as the position is centered around perimeter shooting. However, in the modern NBA, you can craft a shooting guard that’s dunk-oriented or a larger version of a point guard.

Our shooting guard build is designed to be an all-arounder that involves shooting, passing, and playmaking. It’s designed to be a jack-of-all-trades, so you’re not locked into a single playstyle on the court.

Best Small Forward Build

Best Small Forward Build

Small forward is always a popular position for a MyPlayer in 2K, as it arguably has the most freedom when it comes to the overall build. You’re not locked into a height bracket for the most part, and you can usually go a few different ways with your attributes.

The traditional small forward build in 2K often follows the LeBron James model, which focuses on dunks, mid-range shooting, strength, and speed. That’s similar to what our build looks like, but we’ll also emphasize some defense.

  • Position: Small Forward
  • Height: 6’7″

Best Power Forward Build

Best Power Forward Build

Now we’re getting into the front-court positions, and it starts with the power forward. This is another evolving position in the NBA, as more power forwards are starting to become perimeter threats in a league that keeps trending towards three-point shots.

While we won’t make our power forward build too three-point-oriented, we will give it decent shooting and all of the other attributes you’d expect from the position.

  • Position: Power Forward
  • Height: 6’9″
  • Weight: 245 lbs

Best Center Build

Best Center Build

Finally, it’s time for the center position. There are basically two ways you can go with this build: making a freakishly tall player or keeping them more in line with the power forward position. Both kinds of build have their benefits, so you’ll simply have to weigh which one you want to opt for.

Our build is going to fall somewhere in the middle, but it leans towards a taller player. In the modern NBA, this still allows for the build to possess terrific shooting and defense, but other attributes do suffer as a result.

Body Stats

  • Position: Center
  • Height: 7’2″
  • Weight: 242 lbs
  • Wingspan: 7’5″
