The Battlefield 6 credits enumerate a collection of creators from Ridgeline Games, a studio that was involved in the development of Battlefield 6’s single-player narrative that EA established and terminated within a two-year timeframe. Nonetheless, not every member from the studio was acknowledged, and Lehto expressed in a post on LinkedIn that he felt “disheartened” by this. “These skilled developers dedicated themselves for 1 to 2.5 years, constructing the foundation of the game, before I left willingly and the studio was consequently closed,” he remarked. “In spite of their considerable efforts, the majority who were let go were assigned to a ‘Special Thanks’ section at the conclusion of the credits–and some were entirely omitted, including myself.”
Lehto shared a modified image of the Battlefield 6 credits to highlight the names and roles of those who were omitted.
“Game development is a collaborative endeavor, and every contributor warrants appropriate recognition,” he stated.
The developers that Lehto claims were excluded from the Battlefield 6 credits consist of lead character artist Addres Naranjo, lead technical artist Rohan Knuckey, software engineers Jessica Moore and Dan Carr, along with Lehto himself.

Developers being omitted from acknowledgments has occurred on several instances previously, including with Donkey Kong Country Returns HD and Baldur’s Gate 3.
EA transferred developers from Ridgeline to the Ripple Effect development group, and subsequently declared that Ripple Effect–together with DICE, Motive, and Criterion–would spearhead development on Battlefield 6 under the Battlefield Studios label.
After EA revealed widespread layoffs in February 2024 and shut down Ridgeline, Lehto mentioned he had “nothing favorable to express” about the organization. He stated at that moment, “Numerous individuals, including my team, are enduring hardships due to the industry’s sweeping layoffs.”
Post-launch of Battlefield 6, Lehto remarked, “Enormous congratulations to all my associates worldwide involved in bringing this significant title to fruition! I recognize how much effort was invested and wish you all the best.”
Lehto is a seasoned veteran in the video game sector, and perhaps his most recognized contributions to gaming include co-creating Halo and Master Chief at Bungie when the firm was situated in Chicago. He progressed to become the art director at Bungie and dedicated over 15 years with the organization before departing in 2012.
He subsequently established a new firm, V1 Interactive, which produced a game called Disintegration. Unfortunately, it struggled to attract an audience, and the game and studio were terminated. He later joined EA in 2021 and contributed to Battlefield until 2024.
