Identify a major fantasy RPG released in recent years, and likely, Jennifer English can be found somewhere in its vocal ensemble. After portraying Baldur’s Gate 3‘s Shadowheart, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s Maelle, and Elden Ring’s Latenna, the renowned voice artist returns in yet another fantasy roleplaying adventure.

Digital Extremes, the developer responsible for the unexpectedly enduring sci-fi MMO Warframe, is venturing into the fantasy domain with its similarly titled forthcoming MMO Soulframe. And, just a day ago, the studio conducted another developer stream to announce that English will be lending her voice to Alora, the Empress of Eldveil.

We’ll wait to discover if she represents good or evil, but with such a unique look, I can’t help but support her.

In other segments of the stream, Digital Extremes explored the twelfth update for Soulframe’s playtest, scheduled to arrive in two weeks, introducing enhancements like better tutorials, a new greatsword weapon, and a fast travel mechanism. Last we checked, the developers were uncertain about the game’s readiness for an official launch.

Soulframe’s creative director is aware that the name might make people think it’s a Soulslike: “We agonized over it”
