
Astro Bot wins big at the BAFTA Game Awards 2025
The PS5 platform game secured 5 accolades
Astro Bot emerged as the standout victor at the BAFTA Game Awards 2025, garnering 5 accolades including Best Game.
The celebrated PS5 platform title from Team ASOBI also received awards for Audio Achievement, Animation, Family, and Game Development during the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Restful Wakes The Deep from the UK studio The Chinese Room claimed three awards, two of which were awarded to actors Alec Newman and Karen Dunbar for their roles in the horror game set on an oil rig.
Last year’s blockbuster cooperative game Helldivers 2 took home two awards for Multiplayer and Music.
In addition, the honors were distributed across a diverse array of games, with card roguelike Balatro, platformer Neva, and narrative action game Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II among those recognized.
To qualify for the 21st BAFTA Game Awards, games had to be released between November 25, 2023, and November 15, 2024.
As mentioned earlier, the BAFTA Fellowship was awarded to pianist and composer Yoko Shimomura, renowned for her contributions to the Kingdom Hearts, Xenoblade, and Final Fantasy franchises, among others.
