Aptoide Makes Its Grand Debut on iOS for European Shoppers
By Alternative app store Aptoide has officially rolled out its offerings on iOS within the European Union.
As part of its launch, a feature named App Versions has been introduced, allowing users to install previous versions of applications. This was previously only available on Android.
Aptoide first launched in beta in June 2024, which generated a waitlist of 20,000 users. As previously disclosed, Aptoide has implemented an in-app payment structure for iOS, and provides an IAP framework toolkit in partnership with Apple.
“This complete launch signifies a significant milestone in game distribution for iOS and Aptoide’s dedication to an open and unrestricted distribution environment,” stated Aptoide CEO Paulo Trezentos.
“Apple users now have access to newly discovered freedoms, but there remains a considerable amount of work ahead to continue expanding iOS globally and minimize obstacles for users and game developers.”
Almost one year after Aptoide’s beta launch last year, Epic Games launched its mobile store, introducing Fortnite and Fall Guys.
