“Apex Legends Season 24: Arsenal and Assault Class Legends Take the Spotlight”
“`html
Newly launched Mythic R-301 alongside the removal of helmets.
Arsenals will be accessible in all game modes throughout Apex Legends from the start of the season, providing a novel method for acquiring weapons upon landing from the drop ship. They will be situated near POIs, visible the moment you exit the drop ship, and will have respective icons alongside HUD elements.
In summary, Arsenals are small weapon caches that you can visit to exchange the firearms in your inventory or those you collect at the beginning of a match, slightly reducing the frantic rush to grab equipment before being shot down. Arsenal locations are fixed, but the weapons stored within will be randomized. In a recent press event participated by Eurogamer, we learned that this was designed in part to give players better chances of obtaining weapons they prefer and are more comfortable with.
Regarding firearms, Mythic weapons are being introduced that will serve as the elite version of existing in-game weaponry, each with unique twists on the classics. These weapons will be inspired by individual Legends, with Season 24’s addition being the Mythic R-301 inspired by Wraith. Complete with a novel void-inspired appearance, the Mythic version comes with new animations you can equip on any R-301 skins in your collection.
Moreover, every weapon this season has been enhanced, with many receiving a boost in damage as well as changes to their headshot multipliers. The Havoc, for example, will remain in the care package this season, and while the Kraber continues to be a one-shot headshot weapon against most armor types, it may offer more than a one-shot capability when confronting the new crimson helmet armor.
White, blue, and purple helmets will be completely removed for Takeover to keep the headshot damage rate consistent across all weapons; this will no longer be influenced by the helmet a target wears. However, the only way to acquire one will be to obtain the crimson mythic grade helmet, which will only appear in late-game care packages and mythic crates. Once equipped, this helmet will transform the rest of your armor to crimson. This is the sole way to attain this level of armor in Season 24, and armor progression for all players for white, blue, and purple armor will be capped at level three. To help you survive longer with these changes, Shield Cells, Med Kits, and Syringes are currently quicker to use.
Assault Class Legends have been enhanced with new perks for Takeover. In addition to being able to access crimson supply crates and carry one additional ammo per stack, the Combat Reserve perk allows them to have two extra ordinance slots especially for grenades. Combat Surge is triggered after an Assault Legend cracks an enemy shield – once active, they receive a temporary speed boost, faster reload speed, and highlight the cracked target for the rest of the team. The Stowed Reload perk will automatically reload any stowed weapon after two seconds.
Ash and Ballistic in particular have received additional buffs for this season. Ash’s ultimate can be traversed faster with improved hit point detection, and the tether can ensnare from its own position instead of the enemy target’s location. Her passive ability has changed, and she now possesses an omni-directional dodge skill, Predator’s Pursuit. Both Ash’s ultimate and passive can be upgraded through the upgrade tree to gain two charges. She’ll still be able to spot Deathboxes on the mini-map as well.
Ballistic’s sling upgrade and dual tactical charge have now been integrated into his core kit, and he can now carry crate weapons with unlimited ammunition when active. His upgrade that used to allow extra charges has been replaced with an upgrade that doubles his tactical charges, meaning at tier three, Ballistic can carry four charges of his Whistler. His Tempest also now includes a team movement speed bonus.
Conversely, Support Class Legends have had their healing expert perk removed for the upcoming season to refocus them on reviving.
The Road to Ranked is a new pathway for new players to enter Apex Legends’ ranked mode. The previous thresholds for joining ranked have been eliminated and replaced with a series of challenges designed to demonstrate that you can
