“Anticipated GTA 6 Expected to Hit PC Platforms in 2026, According to Industry Experts”

We currently do not have a precise console release date for Grand Theft Auto 6, but a gaming accessory company has now announced it will debut on PC in early 2026.

The forthcoming installment in Rockstar’s series is expected for consoles this autumn. However, both the developer and publisher Take-Two are keeping key details close to the vest, particularly regarding the PC version. Back in May, Take-Two stated that Rockstar would “release further announcements in due time”, and just this month hinted that a GTA 6 PC launch is forthcoming but the company tends to avoid “simultaneous releases across all platforms”.

On the other hand, PC hardware firm Corsair Gaming has indicated that GTA 6 could be arriving on PC as soon as early next year.

During its recent financial report, Corsair Gaming’s financial VP Ronald van Veen remarked:

“GTA 6 is likely the title on everyone’s lips. We’re expecting to see some details later this year for console. As I understand, it will launch in the fall for console, and then early 2026 for PC” (thanks, VGC).

If this holds true, there’s a rather swift transition to PC when considering the timeline of other Rockstar releases. Red Dead Redemption, for instance, initially launched way back in 2010 on PS3 and Xbox 360. It finally made its way to PC last year.

Regarding its console launch, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick previously mentioned he is not concerned about getting GTA 6 functioning on Microsoft’s less powerful Xbox Series S console.
