Anticipate the Exciting Return of Swap Stamp at Upcoming Xbox Events

The news about Xbox games becoming available on multiple platforms is not new anymore, but according to Phil Spencer, the company is making efforts to increase its transparency during Developer Direct showcases by indicating where its games will be released.

For those who tuned in to last month’s Xbox developer presentation, you may have noticed various platforms being mentioned at the end of each trailer—while the Switch was not heavily featured, the PS5 was specifically highlighted for Ninja Gaiden 4, for instance—and Xbox plans to adopt this as a standard practice moving forward.

At least, that’s what Spencer shared during a recent episode of the XboxEra podcast, where the leader of the green team expressed his commitment to being “forthright and clear about where the games are available,” whether that’s on Xbox, PlayStation, or, indeed, Nintendo Switch.

“I simply want to be honest with individuals,” Spencer commented regarding the appearance of different platform logos in upcoming Xbox game trailers. “For availability on Nintendo Switch, we will include that. For availability on PlayStation, on Steam…People ought to be aware of the storefronts where they can access our games.” This is part of letting others “enjoy our Xbox community through our games and everything we offer, on every screen we can,” Spencer added.

Of course, Spencer was quick to clarify that “not every screen is the same,” and that certain game versions may differ depending on the capabilities of each platform; nevertheless, Phil is eager to prominently display the games (and their corresponding platforms).

It turns out, Team Xbox intended to initiate this logo transparency back in the June 2024 Developer Direct, but, according to Spencer, “we couldn’t complete all of the assets, and it felt strange to have some included while others were left out.”
