After Oblivion Remastered and Hi-Fi Rush, Bethesda Game Studios director wants more shadowdrops because “we all have short attention spans now”
Bethesda has been increasingly enthusiastic about launching its titles unexpectedly, without any prior notification, more so than the majority of large publishers. This is a trend that Bethesda Game Studios director Tom Mustaine hopes will persist.
For those who might not know, ‘shadowdrops’ occur when publishers and developers debut a game without announcing a release date beforehand. At times, they may not even take the effort to disclose the game in advance—Apex Legends was famously both unveiled and launched to the public simultaneously.
