Activision has revealed that it has generated over $1.6 million for the Los Angeles fire relief initiatives during the sale of the LA Fire Relief in-game DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone.

As previously disclosed, the funds are being contributed to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and Direct Relief. The $1.6 million is in addition to Activision’s earlier $1 million donation, bringing the company’s total contribution to $2.6 million.

“We appreciate the Call of Duty community for their generosity, which will significantly aid those impacted by the LA fires,” Activision stated.

The LA Fire Relief DLC for Black Ops 6 and Warzone was priced at 2,400 COD Points, equivalent to roughly $20. This indicates that Activision may have sold around 80,000 of these DLC packs. Activision has previously conducted donation campaigns through in-game Call of Duty DLC packs supporting military veterans.

A series of fires swept through parts of Southern California in early January, destroying hundreds of structures and claiming the lives of more than 25 individuals in what was California’s largest urban wildfire incident in four decades. Experts believe fires like these in populated areas may become more frequent over time.
