Once again, a committed Genshin Impact fan has swallowed their aspirations after hoping for the reappearance of Signora, former Fatui Harbinger and now a heap of ashes.
Esteemed super enthusiast and timely YouTuber Saving for Signora, who aptly states in their channel description that “I believe my channel name is self-explanatory,” launched their “Saving for Signora” video series over two years back on March 26, 2023. Their objective was straightforward: accumulate Primogems until Signora, undoubtedly, returns, or at least until they’ve gathered sufficient resources to treat her as she merits upon her eventual, undoubtedly, return.
Keep in mind, this took place after Signora was officially eliminated in Genshin Impact’s Inazuma storyline, following her debut as a prominent antagonist in the game’s initial Archon Quest. More specifically, she was destroyed and turned to dust on-screen by the Electro Archon Raiden Shogun.
In addition, Signora was later granted a funeral conducted by her fellow Fatui Harbingers. This was what elicited a reaction from the devoted Signora Mains subreddit, as you may recall. Clearly, Saving for Signora was also banking on a miracle, some sort of phoenix resurrection plot twist, but it never materialized.
Day 806: The End. Saving for Signora | Genshin Impact – YouTube
On October 11, 2025, signifying “Day 806: The End,” Saving for Signora ultimately ceased saving for Signora, or at least concluded their video series. As demonstrated in their latest video, they had accumulated an impressive 1,700 Fates for the exclusive banner in anticipation of Signora’s comeback – more than enough to effortlessly max out a 5-star character. That translates to 272,000 Primogems, folks, or approximately $3,400 worth. This was dedication.
Our champion hasn’t exactly surrendered on Signora, mind you. This count holds particular importance. By gacha whaling standards, completely maxing a 5-star character in Genshin Impact necessitates obtaining seven copies of the character itself and five copies of their signature 5-star weapon. This will yield six Constellations on the unit and max refinements on the weapon – a sought-after C6R5.
If we consider the bleakest possible scenario of losing out on every last pity – that is, acquiring a random unwanted 5-star when you reach the pull counter that guarantees a character – and compute using soft pity figures (75 pulls for characters, 65 for weapons), acquiring a C6R5 unit would require exactly 1,700 pulls. That comprises seven characters for 150 pulls each, and five weapons for 130 pulls each.
Admittedly, it isn’t even feasible to encounter such bad luck any longer owing to Genshin’s relatively recent Capturing Radiance mechanic, which guarantees a target 5-star character entirely if you lose three pity coin flips consecutively, with rising odds on prior failures.
The 1,700 figure, I suspect, symbolizes more loyalty than anything. And after 806 days, one must respect the loyalty displayed here. If Signora is ever somehow resurrected, I hope Saving for Signora wins every single pity, receives early pities, and perhaps even some double 5-stars.
