How does it feel to be recognized by several generations for various memorable characters? That’s what I wanted to discover after I conversed with David Schwimmer about Goosebumps: The Vanishing, the second season of the horror-comedy anthology that was recently released on Disney Plus and Hulu.
At this point, it’s likely that many will primarily recognize him for portraying Dr. Anthony Brewer, the botanist father in Goosebumps: The Vanishing who quickly finds himself in deep trouble. However, there are probably countless individuals who will link him to the role of Melman, the amusing hypochondriac giraffe from Madagascar. And, of course, there’s Ross from Friends, which is likely the role that most of us associate with him – and rightly so; the show remains quite beloved.
“What truly matters to me,” Schwimmer shares with GamesRadar+, “is when I encounter someone on the street and they say, ‘I just want you to know, I was going through a really difficult time, I was in the hospital,’ or something like that. ‘And the one thing that kept me going was watching Friends.’ “
