If you enjoyed your romantic escapades (and more) with Astarion in Baldur’s Gate 3, and are seeking further adventures, you might be pleased to know that you can now pursue the alluring vampire in Stardew Valley.

This new romantic avenue arises from the fan-created Baldur’s Village mod, which we first learned about last year.

“A new village has recently been established north of Pelican Town, and its new inhabitants appear… quite peculiar,” states a post on social media, announcing the mod’s launch.

The Baldur’s Village mod is described as a “significant expansion mod for Stardew Valley.” In addition to the ability to romance and ultimately marry Astarion, this mod introduces new locations, including a tavern, and a variety of characters inspired by Baldur’s Gate 3.

At present, Astarion is the only available romanceable character, but more are set to be added in the future, with Halsin’s narrative being the next priority.

“Once finalized, we will direct our efforts towards enhancing the mod’s world-building, character backstories, and gameplay by incorporating new features and items,” the Baldur’s Village creators explained.

The creators of the mod also assert that Baldur’s Village will not “alter or damage the original game,” and you will not need to create a new save file to play.

Regarding Stardew Valley, as of December last year, the farming simulator has sold over 41 million copies across platforms. Of these sales, more than half are on PC, with 26 million copies sold. Additionally, the Nintendo Switch accounts for 7.9 million sales of Stardew Valley.

Last year, creator Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone also published the significant 1.6 update for Stardew Valley, elevating the game to an almost 2.0 level. This major update introduced a plethora of features to the core game, such as new NPC dialogues, home renovations, and turtle pets. This update was initially released on PC before becoming available across all platforms.
