Wait, is there a Switch 2 Teach occurring?

After experiencing a last-minute delay last year, Argonaut Games has now confirmed that the Croc: Legend of the Gobbos remaster will be launched on Switch on April 2nd… why does that specific date sound familiar?
Indeed, once we’ve all finished enjoying the festivities of the Switch 2 Teach, we will be able to power on our Switches and indulge in some nostalgic PS1 platforming, which could be just what we need. Possibly.
Alright, our attention might be a bit slightly dispersed on launch day, yet the new Croc remaster trailer appears genuinely appealing — in a cozy-throwing-on-an-old-pair-of-slippers kind of way. In case you missed the promotional content until now, this installment showcases Star Fox studio Argonaut shifting its focus back to the 1997 PlayStation classic. You will be navigating through Gobbo Valley as the main crocodile protagonist, embarking on a quest to rescue your furry buddies from the malevolent Baron Dante.
Argonaut has declared that its aim with the remaster is to “bring in visual enhancements while preserving all the spirit & charm of the original”, so expect a dose of that enchanting 3D platforming delight with a slight facelift to make it look sharp in 2025.
It may not be the biggest news of April 2nd, but we’re still pretty excited about it all the same.
Will you be purchasing this one on launch day (after the Teach)? Let us know in the comments.
