Corsair Executive Hints at GTA 6 PC Release in Early 2026, Then Walks It Back

Recently, the gaming hardware producer Corsair tentatively stated and then swiftly retracted that Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to arrive on PC early next year.

According to IGN, Corsair’s VP of finance, Ronald van Veen, made this announcement during a financial call, saying: “Yeah, GTA 6 is probably the one everyone is discussing. And we should have a sneak peek of that later this year for console. My current understanding is that it’s slated for a fall release for consoles, followed by an early 2026 launch for PC.”

GTA 6 is confirmed to debut in the fall for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, there has been no official confirmation for PC, which made Veen’s statements come off as a potential leak. Following this, a Corsair representative clarified to IGN that Veen’s comments were merely speculation. The company also stated that they do not have access to release dates provided by GTA developer Rockstar or its parent company, Take-Two.

Considering that a previous GTA title is available on PC, it seems plausible that GTA 6 will eventually follow suit. Just this month, Take-Two’s chief Strauss Zelnick hinted at GTA 6’s future PC release, remarking, “we don’t always roll out across all platforms at the same time.”

Regarding the highly anticipated game’s console launch, all attention is on Rockstar and Take-Two to determine if there will be any delays. The prevailing sentiment is that a game as large and intricate as GTA 6, of which there are not many, is likely to experience at least one delay. However, as of now, there is no indication that this will be the case.

Moreover, earlier this month, Zelnick reaffirmed GTA 6’s fall 2025 release while acknowledging “there’s always a risk of delays.”

As console exclusivity quietly fades, I’m enjoying the benefits on PC.
