“Clair Obscur: A Sneak Peek into the Thrilling Expedition 33 Film”

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has not yet been released, but a film adaptation is already in progress.

The developer, Sandfall Interactive, is teaming up with production company Chronicle Kitchen, a group known for several game-to-film adaptations, including the Sonic movies and the upcoming Dredge film.

The founders of Chronicle Kitchen, Dmitri M. Johnson and Mike Goldberg, will produce the film alongside Elena Sandoval, as reported by Variety. Currently, no director or cast members are attached to the project.

“We’re excited to partner with Sandfall Interactive to bring the vibrant, immersive world of ‘Expedition 33’ to the big screen,” stated Johnson and Goldberg.

“The game’s engaging storyline and multifaceted characters create a strong basis for a cinematic endeavor that will appeal to both gamers and film enthusiasts.”

Ed was quite impressed with a hands-off preview before Gamescom, thanks to its inspiration drawn from classic RPGs like the Final Fantasy and Persona series.

“I anticipated turn-based fans to react positively and say ‘oh this looks interesting’, but I was surprised by how enthusiastic this community has been,” creative director Guillaume Broche shared with Ed at Gamescom. “It’s as if we stirred a sleeping giant.”
