AFK Flow, What If…? An Immersive Story, Squad Busters, Thank Goodness You are Here!, and Balatro+ all achieved recognition as part of Apple’s 2024 App Store Awards.
“Celebrating 17 applications and games that inspired users to tap into their creativity, reach new achievements, and enjoy meaningful moments with family and friends,” Apple stated. “This year’s winning developers have crafted apps and games that enriched users’ lives and influenced culture on a global scale.”
Balatro+ was honored as Apple Arcade Game of the Year, while AFK Flow, Squad Busters, and Thank Goodness You are Here! won the titles for iPhone Game of the Year, iPad Game of the Year, and Mac Game of the Year, respectively.
Thrasher: Arcade Odyssey earned the title of Apple Vision Pro Game of the Year, while Wordle’s NYT Games and The Ruin received accolades for their cultural significance “in users’ lives and communities.”
