Treasure maps in Avowed offer a guide to seek out some unique loot dispersed throughout every location. In Galawain’s Tusks, you may also discover the Ancient Arrowhead treasure map, located within the Writhing Ruins in the southern area of the map, in proximity to where the Mater Mare bounty target can also be encountered, looted from a skeleton in the bounty boss arena. With the treasure map, you can embark on a quest to uncover the hidden loot. Note: You will need three lock picks to unlock the treasure chest.

Where to locate the Ancient Arrowhead treasure

The chest is located east of Warden's Rest.
The chest can be found east of Warden’s Rest.

The Ancient Arrowhead treasure can be found in a locked chest on a ledge to the east of Warden’s Rest in the Salt Flat Farms area. In this area, there is a cave leading downward, but the treasure is not located down there. It is important to climb across the ledge here while remaining atop the cliff. If you start from the northern section, it’s fairly simple to maneuver around the rocks to locate the chest.

Collect the Scout's Reach to complete the quest.
Acquire the Scout’s Reach to finish the quest.

The chest contains the Scout’s Reach, which will complete the quest once collected. This trinket provides you with +3 intellect when used. Trinkets cannot be enhanced or improved through enchantment, so if you do not desire that bonus, you may opt to sell it for 600 gold or store it for potential use later. The chest also holds several upgrade materials, as well.
