Astute Fans Claim They’ve Discovered the First Glimpse of ‘Switch 2’ in Latest Satisfye Trailer

Hmm, we’re no longer entirely certain about that

Last week, we observed what appeared to be the very first ‘Switch 2’ accessories available in the marketplace in China. Always eager to outdo itself, the ‘Switch 2’ rumor mill has now produced something even more intriguing: the primary ‘listing’ of the console… if you actually, actually squint.

This all originates from accessory manufacturer Satisfye and its recent trailer for the forthcoming Switch grip, the ‘ZenGrip 2‘. According to the company’s website, the upcoming accessory is intended “for Next-Gen Console”, so how else would you present it in a promotional video other than by including a genuinely precise ‘Switch 2’ in the mix?

You see, the trailer (which has since been removed, likely adding fuel to the fire) does showcase the grip around a console that somewhat resembles a Switch, but the image is so distorted that it’s challenging to see any further details.

Of course, those who witnessed the trailer were quick to capture screenshots and circulate them online, as seen in the following tweets from @nRAYm2002 and @1DaP_PaD1. We note that the Joy-Con looks slightly different with its added button on the bottom, and it’s certainly no coincidence that the blurred image resembles those ‘leaked’ ones from a couple of months back. Hmmm.

The fleeting image, the blurred focus, the quickly-removed trailer – it all feels rather like a clever marketing ploy to us. Coincidentally, the product’s webpage states that the ZenGrip 2 currently has an “Expected Design”, which may still be “tuned to final specifications”. If you had access to the final ‘Switch 2’ model, why the need for tuning? Hm?

Although Satisfye swiftly took down the trailer, that didn’t deter some quick individuals from capturing and re-uploading it to YouTube. If you’d like to catch a glimpse of how fleeting the preview was, you can find the trailer in the video below from Aero.

The ZenGrip 2 is currently listed at $49.99 with an expected shipping date of Spring 2025, though we would be very surprised if Nintendo is contemplating such a quick turnaround for the Switch successor’s announcement and release.

We’d chalk this one up as a dubious lead, we’d say. We’ll be waiting for that official Nintendo announcement before we start getting too worked up over additional Joy-Con buttons.

What do you think of this?
