Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows debuted on March 20, achieving a strong start in the United States. The game emerged as the top-selling title overall in the US during its launch week, according to analyst Mat Piscatella from Circana. This data reflects sales up to March 22, indicating that Shadows achieved this milestone after just three days.
Piscatella further stated that within three days of sales, Shadows is already likely one of the top five best-selling video games of 2025 in the US by revenue. For comparison, Piscatella noted that only Capcom’s Monster Hunter: Wilds had higher first-week dollar sales in 2025 so far.
Wilds remains the No. 1 best-selling game of 2025 so far in the US. Total sales data for March in the US is expected to be released by Circana on April 23, at which point we can gain a clearer understanding of how Shadows performed in March and how it stacks up against other games available on the market.
