Assassin’s Creed Shadows Delayed Again, This Time To March 2025

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Postponed Once More, Now Slated for March 2025 Release

“A few more weeks are required”

Assassin’s Creed Shadows was initially scheduled to debut on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in just a little over a month, but sadly that’s no longer the situation as it has now been postponed to March 20, 2025.

Ubisoft indicated that “a few more weeks are required” to incorporate the “important feedback” that the Assassin’s Creed community has shared with the team, meaning we will have to wait another month to get our hands on it.

“Since November, we’ve been excited to share our developments through Gameplay Overviews, and the immense enthusiasm has genuinely motivated us. Each week has provided insightful feedback from our community. While we’ve already made significant progress, we believe a few more weeks are necessary to implement that feedback and guarantee an even more ambitious and engaging day-one experience.”

Although this may be upsetting for Assassin’s Creed fans, it likely makes sense from a planning standpoint. Previously, Shadows was set to launch around the same time as Avowed, Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered, Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and Monster Hunter Wilds, so it definitely faced some competition!

March is looking a little less crowded at the moment, so these extra weeks may well be worth it, regardless of whether the development team wanted them or not. We’ll see how it performs when it launches in two months’ time.
