Artistic Showdown: Fracture Nitro Kart on GameCube
Combat of the Bandicoots

Welcome to another edition of Box Art Brawl — the very first of 2025, no less!
Last week, we showcased two stunning designs from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (yes, we were also concerned that we hadn’t covered this already), and after a week of voting, the results revealed a clear champion. The classic gold edition from Europe and North America claimed 66% of the votes, while the hand-drawn Japanese artwork took the remaining 34%.
This week, we’re revving up the starting line with Crash Nitro Kart. Released in 2003 as the follow-up to Crash Team Racing, this installment featured Crash and friends racing in a cosmic arena, smashing through crates and drifting around a variety of game modes. While it might not be Mario Kart, we certainly have fond memories of the story-driven ‘Adventure’ mode and the remastered content in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled on Switch is fantastic.
