“Arrowhead CEO Hints at Bow Addition in Helldivers 2 as Fans Eagerly Anticipate Crysis Gameplay”

A Helldivers 2 Crysis crossover is among the more intense wishes within the cooperative shooter’s community, and while it may never materialize, the next best possibility could very well emerge.

To offer some background, the Predator Bow is quite a distinctive weapon from the 2013 first-person shooter Crysis 3, and there has been considerable demand for a Crysis crossover in Helldivers 2. In terms of tone, it makes sense; both games are futuristic sci-fi shooters featuring hostile aliens, and with Crysis 4 finally in development after such a lengthy wait, it could be a great opportunity.

At this point, nothing like that has been officially announced or even hinted at yet, but it certainly seems like a bow and arrow in Helldivers 2 is a strong possibility, which would essentially be the next best thing. During a Discord Q&A, Arrowhead CEO Shams Jorjani stated he would be quite shocked if Helldivers 2 did not incorporate a bow and arrow as a weapon.

“I haven’t seen any plans for a bow as far as I know,” Jorjani remarked. “But I’d be surprised if we didn’t see one AT SOME POINT.”

The emphasized “AT SOME POINT” suggests that there are currently no existing plans for a bow and it likely won’t happen for a while, but still, this is the head of the Helldivers 2 studio indicating it will probably happen eventually. That counts for something, I suppose.
