Clear up Leisure has unveiled a new 1.30 update for Control: Ultimate Edition on PC today. This update will also be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at a later time.
The main focus of the update is the mission, Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Guided Imagery Journey, which will now be playable when gamers collect the Dr. Tokui Tapes in the Extrasensory Lab of the Research Sector. This mission features voice acting by Hideo Kojima and was previously exclusive to the PS4 digital deluxe edition of Control.
Several outfits that were previously locked as preorder bonuses or rewards for completing certain tasks are now available to all players. They can be equipped from the Control Point in the Central Executive area. These outfits include the Astral Dive Suit, Tactical Response Gear, Urban Response Gear, and Extradimensional Suit.
Finally, there have been graphic enhancements, including added HDR support, advanced ray tracing, ultrawide aspect ratio support for up to 48:9, and improved rendering resolution beyond 4K.
Clear up Leisure is currently developing Control 2, which entered full production last month, in addition to FBC: Firebreak, a multiplayer title set in the Control universe. The remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2 have also commenced full production as of August 2024.
Control: Ultimate Edition is currently available at GameSpot’s affiliated site, Fanatical, for $7.19.
