By Anime becomes tangible in Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ representation of feudal Japan, with the latest complimentary title update introducing a mission inspired by Attack on Titan. Gamers only have a brief window to explore the haunting Crystal Cave and uncover its mysteries, as the AoT mission is accessible exclusively from November 25 to December 22.
This new task leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into the enigmatic Crystal Cave, where sinister experiments threaten to unleash an unprecedented menace on feudal Japan. Delve into the cave’s abyss and prevent a secretive cult from transforming their abducted Titan-Shifter into a significant threat.
The latest quest is open to all gamers who have unlocked Yasuke as a playable character, and can be accessed by conversing with quest-giver Ada in the Yamashiro region, north of Hanazo Tower. Gamers will have the chance to collect new cosmetics for their hideout throughout the mission, and will be rewarded with a new crystal katana for Naoe upon completion.
The additional Attack on Titan cosmetics, featuring a Mikasa-themed outfit for Naoe, a Titan-themed armor for Yasuke, a Survey Corps mount, and various weapons, will be available for acquisition in the in-game shop.
The collaboration and its related quest will only be available for a short duration, so gamers have until December 22 to complete the new mission and unlock its cosmetics.
The AoT collaboration is being released as part of AC Shadows’ recent title update, which also includes several balance adjustments and bug fixes, along with a new narrative quest titled A Puzzlement. In contrast to the intense AoT mission, A Puzzlement serves as a light-hearted narrative moment, prompting players to ascertain who would prevail in a brawl between Yasuke and Naoe, while challenging them to open a perplexing door.
