Happy Thanksgiving from Zelda and associates!

Only three weeks post-launch, Nintendo is already delivering more treats to Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment later this week with a complimentary update.

Set to launch on 27th November 2025, the update will introduce fresh weapons, an exciting new Sync Strike for Zelda and the beloved Korok Calamo, plus other surprises. Quite enigmatic there, Nintendo! The game already boasts a great deal to discover, including character maxing and locating all those tricky Koroks, even if it moves at a slightly quicker pace than Age of Calamity.

Well, navigate to the Japanese site, and you’ll glimpse precisely what else is on the horizon — in addition to extra challenges, newly introduced foes, and enhanced materials, you’ll also have the ability to collaborate with the Block Golem for another innovative Sync Strike.

A selection of new confrontations is set to debut on Thursday, including one dubbed “A serious clash with Rauru”. Hmmm.

There are also supplemental patch notes, aimed at improving functionality and addressing a few bugs. We’ll share the official interpretation once available, but a few adjustments entail adding tutorials that pop up on the map, previews of reclaimable areas will be visible, and a display of health recovery potential is now included.

The prior Hyrule Warriors title similarly received multiple updates and an Expansion Pass that introduced an “expanded roster”. So, don’t anticipate anything of that magnitude here.

Nintendo assured that free updates were planned for the game post-launch. And with free content, regardless of what it is, we’re on board. Especially since we thoroughly enjoyed this canonical prequel to Tears of the Kingdom.
