Geralt of Rivia is far too engrossed with Leshen spirits and enchanting women to bother himself with matters like the GTA 6 postponement. The Witcher series performer Doug Cockle, who has lent his voice to the monster hunter Geralt for nearly two decades, expresses to GamesRadar+ that he could scarcely care about the legendary Rockstar title.
“Oh man,” Cockle tells us during the Golden Joystick Awards 2025 when asked about his views on GTA 6 potentially surpassing The Witcher 3’s accolades at the awards show – about 10 wins over four years. “This is a game I honestly don’t care about,” he chuckles, even as the GTA 6 subreddit experiences its typical state of anxiety level 80.
Cockle has his own blockbuster title to focus on, anyhow. The actor is set to reprise his character as Geralt in CD Projekt’s forthcoming The Witcher 4 – although he remains discreet when we inquire about that game, too.
