Director Rian Johnson has been planting inquiries regarding whether he and lead actor Daniel Craig may prolong their Benoit Blanc series after the forthcoming Wake Up Dead Man, the third installment in the saga that includes 2019’s Knives Out and 2022’s Glass Onion. Recently, in discussions with THR, Johnson affirms that he and Craig are already brainstorming Blanc’s subsequent escapade, although it is too premature to assert whether a new film is officially in development.
“Artistically, I feel rejuvenated after completing this one. Daniel and I are beginning to devise … what could the next installment be if we decide to create another? I don’t see any reason to halt if we have the opportunity to continue making them,”
