The initial teaser for Disney‘s live-action Moana film has surfaced, and it appears just as enchanting as the original animated classic.
In the short clip, which can be viewed below, we hear newcomer Catherine Laga’aia perform “I am Moana (Song of the Ancestors)” against a backdrop of action, dancing, and breathtaking views of the island – and yes, we also get our first glimpse of Hei Hei the rooster. During the first viewing, you might find yourself questioning the absence of Dwayne Johnson’s Maui… but he is right there at the very conclusion of the teaser with his magical fishhook in hand.
