Developer Shift Up is “exploring further platforms”
- by Ben Kerry
Stellar Blade has achieved remarkable success on PS5 and PC, and earlier this summer, we learned that a Switch 2 port was likely under consideration by developer Shift Up. Now, reports indicate that the title is being explored for “further platforms” more broadly – and that’s coming straight from the source.
During a recent studio earnings call broadcasted by outlet Tech4Gamers, the team was queried about its Stellar Blade strategies for Q4 2025 and into 2026. The developer stated that it is planning “multiple promotional initiatives” related to the game, and additionally mentioned that it is “exploring further platform expansions” in the future.
“To enhance brand visibility and increase sales, we intend to conduct several promotional initiatives and are exploring additional platform expansions to make Stellar Blade accessible to a wider audience.”
While Xbox isn’t explicitly referenced here, the team does mention “platform expansions” – indicating that several ports are possible, and ultimately, it aims to release the game on as many systems as feasible. Currently, Stellar Blade is available on PS5 and PC, making it logical that Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S would be the subsequent steps.
We’ve now also observed proof that such developments can materialize. Another title published by Sony, Helldivers 2 was released on Xbox earlier this year, giving us insight into the types of Xbox ports we might expect from the PlayStation publisher. We’ll keep a lookout on the future of Stellar Blade, hoping that an Xbox port will eventually come to fruition.
