Rockstar’s choice to postpone GTA 6 to 19th November will likely have initiated some intense publisher discussions in recent days.

Conversely, one title that appears unaffected by this announcement is Marvel’s Wolverine. The game had already sunk its claws into a Fall 2026 launch date, and it seems unlikely that will alter.

To reaffirm its aim on X (or Twitter), developer Insomniac stated: “Don’t overlook a scrap of information. Add Marvel’s Wolverine to your wishlist, arriving Fall 2026.”

While it is conceivable that this date could still shift over the next year, at this moment the game seems to be unaffected by the delay of GTA 6.

To be honest, Fall 2026 presents a fairly broad timeframe, which may realistically encompass anything from late September to December. We anticipate the game will launch before GTA 6, however.

This might lead to a congestion issue next holiday.

The fact is that no publisher will want to launch close to the much-anticipated Rockstar open world, suggesting we could encounter an especially packed release schedule in September and October.

We will, of course, have to wait to see how everything unfolds, and there’s always a chance of another delay for GTA 6, certainly – although Take-Two chief Strauss Zelnick has recently indicated that he is confident in the set date.

Let’s observe how publishers opt to navigate this tumultuous period.
