By Update: Launch date officially revealed
Update []: We initially reported on this back in February, and now Bandai Namco has given us a launch date! The next-gen enhancement for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is officially arriving on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on November 21st, 2025.
Information is still quite scarce, but it’s been stated that individuals who own the Xbox One version will be able to access the Series X and S version without any additional cost. Here’s the confirmation, and you can view the new trailer above:
“Upon release, both iterations of the game will continue to receive updates as new DLC will be launched in the future, including one where fans can select their preferred characters to play. ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 will debut on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S, with complimentary upgrades available for players who possess versions on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One.”
“The new edition arriving on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will showcase visual improvements and more, allowing players to engage in the exhilarating action gameplay in an entirely fresh manner.”
Original Announcement: One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 launched in 2020 and now, to commemorate four million sales, it’s getting a “next gen” upgrade.
This “ultimate edition” will be released on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 and will encompass “every DLC character”.
As part of this announcement, Bandai Namco has also verified new DLC for the game. The twist is – the community will have the opportunity to vote for the next characters they wish to see included.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 has previously been accessible via Xbox Game Pass. Currently, select versions of the Xbox One edition are available at discounted prices in specific regions.
