Nintendo has introduced a retail application – simply named Nintendo Store – for Android and iOS, allowing you to explore everything including eShop games, accessories, amiibo, clothing, and more.

Initially launched exclusively in Japan as the ‘My Nintendo’ app, this has since been refreshed and redesigned for global access. It’s not entirely a specialized experience, though, as selecting any specific item will direct you to the corresponding page in your default browser.

Nonetheless, it serves as an excellent method to quickly view what’s new and available, especially if you activate notifications for fresh discounts. You can also examine your gaming activity for the Switch, Switch 2, 3DS, and Wii U. For the latter two consoles, you must ensure you link your Nintendo Network ID with your Nintendo Account, with gaming activity accessible from before February 2020.

Interestingly, gaming activity for every title is categorized more comprehensively than ever before. Previously, via console or the Nintendo Switch App, you could track how many total hours you’d invested in any particular game.

However, with the Nintendo Store app, it literally divides this into daily gaming activity. You can see exactly how much time you’ve spent on Hollow Knight: Silksong, for instance, every day since its release back in October (though if you start a game briefly, it logs the gaming activity as “a little while” instead of a precise duration).

Now let’s take a look at the main features straight from Nintendo:

– Shop on My Nintendo Store – Utilize this app to browse Nintendo Switch 2 / Nintendo Switch systems and accessories, physical and digital titles, and various Nintendo merchandise—and then navigate directly to My Nintendo Store to complete purchases. (Note: Physical items may not be accessible in all countries / regions.)

– Get the Latest Info on Games – Stay informed with the current news on Nintendo games, events, and more!

Receive Notifications About Sales – Activate push notifications for when products on your Wish List are discounted.

Review Your Gaming Activity – Sign in with your Nintendo Account to review your Nintendo Switch 2 / Nintendo Switch gaming activity. If you owned a Nintendo 3DS or Wii U system, you can view your gaming activity recorded before February 2020. (Note: To assess your Nintendo 3DS and Wii U gaming activity, you’ll need to link your Nintendo Network ID (NNID) to your Nintendo Account.)

Check in at Events – Leverage the app to check in at official Nintendo stores and events to earn associated rewards! Your check-in history will also be viewable within the app.

The introduction of the retail application coincides with Nintendo releasing its financial results for Q2 2026, confirming that the Switch 2 has already reached over 10 million units sold globally. Additionally, it has revised its forecast for the rest of the fiscal year from 15 million units to 19 million units.
