The second season of Netflix’s live-action interpretation of Eiichiro Oda’s worldwide phenomenon manga and anime One Piece is still several months away from its debut, but preparations for season 3 have already commenced, with Tony Award-winning Broadway artist Cole Escola slated to play the beloved character Mister 2 (according to Deadline).
Escola is most recognized for their acclaimed play Oh, Mary!, which they both wrote and starred in as Mary Todd Lincoln. Their portrayal of Mister 2 appears to be exceptionally fitting, considering that the antagonist is famous for being dramatic – a quality that a distinguished Broadway performer is sure to excel in.
