As we approach the final two months of 2025, an abundant array of games is set to release on a Switch (or Switch 2) near you just in time for the festive season.

Nintendo is set to debut two Switch 2 titles in November, with Koei Tecmo’s interpretation of Zelda-inspired Musou launching on the 6th, followed by Masahiro Sakurai’s newest Kirby game arriving on the 20th. Samus is making her comeback in December (at last!), and aside from first-party content, numerous third-party options are prepared to accompany you into the new year. (Not Elden Ring, though.)

Below, we have spotlighted the most thrilling Switch 2 (and 1) titles that will be released in the next couple of months. You’ll also discover more fantastic games after our featured selections, along with a variety of Switch (2) accessories.

Upcoming Switch 1 & 2 Titles for November & December 2025

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment – 6th November (Switch 2)

This Tears of the Kingdom-inspired Musou from Koei Tecmo brings Zelda and her Hyrule allies back in a canonical narrative that involves defeating numerous waves of Ganon’s troops.

We appreciated Age of Calamity on Switch 1 and are excited to see how this installment harnesses Switch 2’s enhanced capabilities—particularly with the local GameShare feature this time.

Join forces with both new and familiar heroes to protect Hyrule from the Demon King.

Princess Zelda is not alone in this battle! Collaborate with Mineru, the Sages, and even some brand-new champions in clashes against Ganondorf’s armies. Merge powerful Zonai Devices with your heroes’ unique skills to conquer formidable foes and their countless minions.

Kirby Air Riders – 20th November (Switch 2)

Kirby returns in this follow-up to the 2003 GameCube racing game Kirby Air Ride. We’ve had a specific Direct that delved into (perhaps too much?) detail about this title, and another is expected before launch.

Select your rider, choose your vehicle, and gear up for competition! Challenge your opponents in frenzied arena skirmishes or fast-paced races, both on land and in the air. Utilize the Boost Charge button to slow down and steer as your vehicle automatically battles for maximum speed. Charge up your Boost Gauge while drifting around corners and unleash it for a powerful surge!

Hades 2 – 20th November (Switch 1 & 2)

This title premiered digitally in September, but if you’ve managed to avoid it until now, the physical version for Switch 2 (also playable on Switch 1) arrives on the same day as Kirby. Check our review below for the complete details.

Terminator 2D: NO FATE – 26th November (Switch 1)

This installment has faced multiple delays, but we’re hopeful it launches at the end of November. A reimagining of the classic film in 16-bit style, with choices to diverge from the storyline and alter your destiny if preferred, the developers aim to provide the T2 experience we deserved back in the ’90s.

Play as Sarah Connor, John Connor, and the T-800 in iconic T2 confrontations & new missions! Oppose the relentless T-1000 & Skynet’s lethal machines. Enjoy authentic pixel-art arcade gameplay featuring multiple endings & game modes.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows – 2nd December (Switch 2, Game-Key Card)

Long anticipated, Ubisoft is bringing this celebrated installment of the historical assassin series to Switch 2 early December. Our sister site, Push Square, awarded the PS5 version a commendable 8/10, so we’re eager to see how Yasuke and Naoe adapt to Nintendo’s platform.

A note of caution, physical edition enthusiasts: this is a Game-Key Card.

Immerse yourself in the stunning realm of Feudal Japan! Unlock your inner Assassin as Naoe, a stealthy and astute shinobi, and strike from the shadows. Alternatively, command as Yasuke, a powerful samurai, and dominate the battlefield.
Benefit from cross-progression and touchscreen compatibility on all menus—including the world map, shop, and hideout—whether you’re playing at home or on the go!

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – 4th December (Switch 1 & 2)

It has been 84 years 8 years since Nintendo unveiled Metroid Prime 4, and following a considerable revision and significant waiting, it is finally set to release on Switch 1 — as well as Switch 2 — just in time for the holiday season.

Samus is pursued by the deadly marksman Sylux and lands on Viewros in the wake of their confrontation. She will require all her tools and skills, including her new advanced bike Vi-O-La, to endure and escape.

Octopath Traveler 0 – 4th December (Switch 1 & 2, Game-Key Card on S2)

The third installment in the Octopath series, this release introduces some customizability and city-building elements.

Square Enix has announced that there will be no upgrade options between versions, so anyone hoping to circumvent the Game-Key Card Switch 2 version by obtaining the Switch 1 edition and upgrading will be out of luck, regrettably.

Begin from the ground up and discover the latest entry in the OCTOPATH TRAVELER saga. Experience a tale of restoration and vengeance across the divine rings—an epic adventure that unfolds in the land of Orsterra.
Embark on a quest of your own design!
