Following this week’s independent event

This week, we have an ID@Xbox showcase confirmed for Tuesday, October 28th – but this may not be the last Xbox showcase for 2025, considering a new report.
According to Jez Corden from Windows Central, Microsoft has an Xbox Partner Preview event lined up for next month. Corden mentions that the presentation is scheduled for “sometime in November” and has been “recently finalized” at Xbox HQ.
“We are exclusively revealing through reliable sources that Microsoft has an Xbox Partner Preview showcase planned for some time in November, which I understand was finalized recently. This showcase will center around third-party titles from Microsoft’s publishing partners of all varieties, and will showcase almost entirely (if not completely) Xbox Play Anywhere titles.”
As highlighted in the quote above, Corden thinks this specific showcase will “center around third-party titles from all varieties” – contrasting with the smaller indie games anticipated to be highlighted during this week’s event. It appears that Xbox Play Anywhere will also be a significant emphasis, with Corden suggesting that essentially everything showcased should be XPA compatible.
We will keep a lookout for this one as we transition into November, as it seems like it could be a hectic few months for Xbox showcases – with Developer Direct also anticipated in January. For now, we’ll connect to our article on the October indie showcase below – and you can expect coverage from that event on the site in the upcoming days!
