With a peak of 100,000 concurrent players sending it straight into Steam’s best-sellers chart, the latest indie hit is a silly physics-based co-op game about driving an RV
Peak but dadcore is the finest, most concise characterization I can devise of Steam’s latest blockbuster, which is a four-player cooperative escapade about middle-aged pals attempting to return their Recreational Vehicle from a journey, aptly titled RV There Yet?
The game fundamentally assigns you and up to three companions the responsibility of getting back on the highway, surviving in the wild, and most crucially, maintaining your RV unscathed. While one individual navigates the large cumbersome vehicle, the rest are typically present to assist in traversing challenging landscapes by constructing makeshift bridges or lifting it with a physics-based winch. Otherwise, they’re likely inside indulging in cigarettes and consuming alcohol.
