Reminder: Ubisoft’s “Free” Star Wars Outlaws Demo For Switch 2 Is Now Available
By Update []: Following last month’s Switch 2 launch, a “complimentary demo” for Star Wars Outlaws is currently accessible on the same platform. You’ll gain entry to a portion of the game for “up to three hours” – providing you with a glimpse of the “high-stakes, high-reward existence of a rogue”.
“Explore the legendary planet of Tatooine as novice rogue Kay Vess (Humberly González) alongside her steadfast ally, Nix (Dee Bradley Baker).”
During your three-hour stint on Tatooine, you’ll encounter several choices of activities. Here’s the outline via the Ubisoft webpage:
- Locate a mercenary to join your team. To find him, you will need to traverse the planet’s chaotic sand dunes on your speeder.
- Confront the Hutt Cartel and other ominous threats.
- Collect contracts in Mos Eisley.
- Try your luck at a few rounds of Kessel Sabacc.
- Explore beyond the urban boundaries to uncover secrets, caches, and picturesque landscapes in the open world.
- Take the pilot’s seat and launch into Tatooine space to challenge your aerial combat abilities against spacefaring adversaries.
Once again, save data will not transfer to the full game – so you will need to start anew if you decide to buy it. This follows a recent patch released earlier this week.

Star Wars Outlaws debuted for the Switch 2 last week, and if you remain uncertain about trying it out, a demo is on its way.
After launching a demo on alternative platforms earlier this year, Ubisoft has confirmed via the game’s “Switch 2 Release FAQ” that a demo will be accessible for the Switch 2 “later this year”, with additional details coming “soon”.
The complimentary demo offered for other platforms includes access to the following content (description via Steam):
“This is the Free Demo version of Star Wars Outlaws. As rogue Kay Vess, immerse yourself in the legendary planet of Tatooine with your loyal companion, Nix, while you search for a mercenary to join your crew.”
