Bluey, the beloved Australian cartoon for kids, is releasing a new video game on the Switch and Switch 2 in 2026.
Officially named Bluey’s Quest for the Gold Pen, this is an “unique narrative-driven adventure game” developed by the show’s creator Joe Brumm. Halfbrick – the Fruit Ninja studio located in Bluey’s hometown of Brisbane – will collaborate with PM Studios to bring this title to Nintendo platforms and additional systems.
This upcoming game, “influenced by the hand-drawn realms of the Dragon and Escape episodes” encourages players to unlock Bluey’s illustrations, which the Heeler family brings to life. It fuses “emotional storytelling with exploration-oriented gameplay”.
In total, there will be nine adventure-packed levels to explore – ranging from snowy peaks, golden shorelines, to vibrant green woodlands and even the Australian outback. Throughout the journey, players can discover treasures, solve riddles, and set off on enchanting mini quests as they “glide, soar, and skate” across the landscape.
The primary launch for Apple devices is set for this December, with the console and PC version slated for release next year.
