We would be thrilled to witness this on Xbox!

The Xbox Store does a decent job of hosting frequent digital sales that frequently offer significant discounts, but maneuvering through them isn’t always straightforward, and they don’t consistently present all the details we’d prefer to view. Often, when reporting these for Pure Xbox we utilize external resources like Deku Deals to monitor price trends and so forth – and a recent PlayStation Store update has introduced something similar directly on the console marketplace.
As detailed by our close associates over at Push Square, an innovative PS Store feature is being rolled out now that displays a game’s 30-day price history right on the game’s store page. The example above highlights Gears of War: Reloaded – which is currently discounted by 25% on PS5, and that indicates the lowest price on the platform for the previous 30 days.
And, after reading this – we would adore to see something of this nature adopted on the Xbox Store! In fact, we’d prefer it to be enhanced and broadened; 30 days is beneficial but what about the past 12-month period, or even whether the current sale price represents the lowest it has ever been? That would be extremely advantageous when perusing all of the regular sales promotions we encounter on Xbox these days.
We genuinely appreciate these third-party platforms that furnish such details, but having that directly on sale pages will significantly benefit the end user, and we strongly believe that it’s worthwhile to have that information prominently displayed when items are on sale. A ‘lowest price ever’ label is certainly something that would entice us to add games to our backlog when they’re at a discount!
What are your thoughts on this? Is a price tracker something you’d be interested in seeing on the Xbox Store? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
