Nintendo Today! Update Makes It Easier To Share In-App News

It’s certainly not a screenshot button, keep in mind

Nintendo Today! has received a minor update, elevating the app to version 2.0.10 with the introduction of a new sharing button.

Indeed, a share button. It isn’t the most revolutionary new feature, but given that the company previously eliminated the option to capture in-app screenshots or obtain screen recordings, it’s definitely appreciated.

You’ll locate the new share button in the lower right corner of any news article within the app. Tapping it will display your phone’s standard sharing screen, allowing you to disseminate the news directly to another application via a link.

We should also emphasize that the individual you’re sharing the news with will also need to have Nintendo Today! installed to access the content, which seems… quite fitting for this application, to be honest.

As you might anticipate, the patch notes are rather brief for this update, but here they are, regardless:

Nintendo continues to issue both significant and minor announcements through the Nintendo Today! app. Most of the time, it’s a piece of promotional art or a detailed view of a Kirby Air Riders vehicle, but occasionally we are surprised with the revelation of a new game like Splatoon Raiders or a unique glimpse of a short film. Hey, maybe this share button will prove useful after all!
