GTA 6 enthusiasts believe they have discovered a hint regarding the release of the upcoming trailer, and I can’t discern if it’s genuine or an elaborate prank.
When the new GTA 6 trailer was unveiled earlier this year, the GTA community once again demonstrated that they are a step ahead in terms of investigation, as the trailer concealed references such as a Red Dead Redemption 2 reference, a Manhunt reference and indications of a revived Phil Cassidy from GTA 3, along with stunning technical aspects like beer bubble technology and fabric animations. This was facilitated by one devoted fan who uploaded all 5,002 frames of the trailer online, enabling further mysteries to be revealed.
Nevertheless, some are taking it a step further than merely highlighting references and impressive technical details, actively searching for every potential clue. With Twitter user GTA 6 Countdown (via TheGamer) believing they’ve identified a significant clue, sounding reminiscent of Charlie from It’s Always Sunny during the Pepe Silva scene.
Rockstar Games may have hinted at GTA 6 Trailer 3’s date, as Jason’s digital watch displays the particular time “11:08” which indicates November 8. This date also commemorates the anniversary of the first trailer’s announcement. pic.twitter.com/SOmdSSk7W4October 18, 2025
The user stated “Rockstar Games may have hinted at GTA 6 Trailer 3’s date, as Jason’s digital watch shows a specific time “11:08” which corresponds to November 8.” They also highlighted that November 8, 2023 marked the date of the first trailer’s announcement in 2023. To bolster the theory, they added, “Furthermore, the next earnings call is scheduled for November 6, increasing the likelihood of an announcement being made either just before or after the call.”
Naturally, all this is predicated on Rockstar purposely embedding a fleeting easter egg in a trailer and somehow having foreknowledge of when the next trailer would debut for the game. While it seems rather improbable, strange occurrences have transpired, and perhaps GTA 6 Countdown was indeed onto something significant all along.
