Square Enix has unveiled a fresh side-by-side comparison video for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. We get to witness the game’s introductory cutscene on the Switch 2 in docked mode, accompanied by a direct comparison to the same scene on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC.
In case you overlooked it, Square Enix had earlier confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will operate at a “steady 30 frames per second” on Switch 2, while delivering “fluid performance” and some “sharp visuals.”
Further specifics regarding the Switch 2 edition are yet to be disclosed, but initial impressions of this version have been fairly favorable thus far. The game’s director has also recently elaborated on how the team achieved this version’s “fantastic” appearance while commending Nintendo’s latest gadget as a “truly remarkable piece of hardware.”
Last month, Square Enix noted its plan to launch a demo for the Switch 2 edition of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade by year-end, so if you’re still indecisive, this might assist prior to the complete game’s release on 22nd January 2026.
Will you be acquiring this game on the Switch 2 upon its launch early next year? Share your thoughts in the comments.
