If you’ve been advancing the dissemination of freedom in Helldivers 2, you’ve undoubtedly come across some of the underlying stability issues that have begun to surface. Glitches and other challenges are emerging as if there’s a bug nest within the code itself, and the developers are growing weary of clarifying what isn’t actually the issue.

The 20 months following Helldivers 2’s debut have been tumultuous for Arrowhead Game Studios. Surpassing expectations by a considerable margin entails regular updates and upkeep to ensure everyone can dive into the game and enjoy blasting bugs and cyborg filth.

So many updates and quick fixes piled atop each other over time have resulted in technical liabilities, where gameplay endures long-term consequences due to more immediate decision-making. It’s a difficult side effect to evade, as support is supplied on an individual basis, based on the requirements of the community and the game itself.

The present state of Helldivers 2 is far from impressive, to the extent Arrowhead’s internal timeline has been modified to restore the situation to what the team desires. On the official Discord server and various social platforms, gamers have been proposing ideas, including that the anti-cheat program Gameguard is the culprit.

Shams Jorjani, CEO of Arrowhead, is becoming frustrated with this perspective. “I’ve addressed this a countless times. We observe no proof of [Gameguard] causing performance issues. We will investigate further,” he states, replying to another user on Discord.

The tool has “minimal impact,” he maintains, referring to it as a “myth,” while admitting it deserves one more, conclusive, in-depth examination before dismissing it entirely. Any modifications that occur shouldn’t anticipate Gameguard disappearing anytime soon.

“The beaches will dry before the Helldivers do”: Helldivers 2 players transformed Seyshel Beach into the new Malevelon Creek, complete with propaganda and a shocked reaction from Arrowhead.
