Say greetings to ‘Nintendo Fukuoka’
Update []: It is confirmed, the new outlet Nintendo Fukuoka will be welcoming visitors in Japan on 14th November 2025.
Original Story: Nintendo has revealed that its fourth store in Japan will be launched by the end of 2025 in Fukuoka.
Details are limited at this time, but Nintendo states that the store will be situated in JR Hakata City (Amu Plaza), an expansive shopping center featuring apparel stores, home goods retailers, eateries, and more.
Fukuoka ranks as the sixth-largest metropolis in Japan and serves as the capital of the Fukuoka prefecture. It is positioned on the Kyushu island of Japan, indicating that it is notably distanced from the primary industrial island of Honshu, which hosts Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya, and Hiroshima.
The forthcoming Nintendo Fukuoka store will accompany the existing locations in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, the latter having been inaugurated in October 2023. Additionally, alongside Nintendo New York in the United States stands the newly opened San Francisco branch, which commenced operations on 15th May 2025.
Nintendo of America President and COO Doug Bowser officiated the ribbon-cutting event, and the store provides patrons the chance to personalize their Switch Joy-Con colors. Miniature versions of the store’s character figures are also available.
