After five years since its debut, Genshin Impact has at last provided a feature that gamers have desired since its inception: an entirely complimentary and pull-free method to unlock Constellations on 5-star heroes. However, being a gacha title, there is some fine print that encourages player engagement, meaning if you don’t begin today, you’ll forfeit one of the four complimentary Constellations being distributed over the next year.
Genshin Impact is launching a fresh event for the Lunar (6.X, or Nod-Krai) patch cycle named “To Temper Thyself and Journey Far.” This occasion will occur once every 12 weeks (or two patches), urging players to finish eight weeks’ worth of daily “training objectives” to earn rewards that culminate in a free Constellation for a selected 5-star character, granting them new passive abilities that enhance their strength in battle. (Only certain, typically older characters can be chosen.)
You can claim a maximum of four complimentary Constellations, with the condition that you can only acquire one per character, meaning stacking the same character to C4 isn’t permissible.
Accomplishing the training targets is straightforward; you merely need to complete your daily tasks of clearing four commissions (or exchanging equivalent Long-Term Encounter Points) and utilizing 120 Original Resin at domains or bosses. If you achieve this for five days within a week, you’ll receive that week’s rewards and earn another point towards the eight necessary to claim the Constellation.
Given the nature of the event’s organization, if you don’t commence immediately, October 8, you won’t be able to acquire the Constellation currently available. With five days remaining before Genshin Impact’s next weekly reset, and seven additional weeks left in this event thereafter, this is your final opportunity. You’ll need to fulfill the training objectives today, for the next four days, and for five days in the subsequent seven weeks to stay on course. If that seems tedious and arbitrary, that’s because it certainly is.
Should you start late, you can still obtain future Constellations and the remainder of the current rewards, which mainly consist of a variety of currencies and materials for artifact crafting or rerolling, but the Constellation remains the main attraction here as it essentially acts as a complimentary (though somewhat dated) 5-star.
Here’s the complete roster of characters eligible for complimentary Constellations through this event. Note that if you possess any of these characters at C6, selecting a Constellation for them will grant you a Masterless Stella Fortuna that can be utilized to elevate any character to level 95 (one Fortuna) or 100 (two additional Fortuna upon reaching 95).
