Joyful Skate-o-ween
Skate has been in early access for a couple of weeks now, and it will soon receive its initial significant content update.
On 7th October, the free-to-play skateboarding game will commence Season 1, which will continue until 2nd December. Here’s a video that provides a quick glimpse of what to expect:
The seasonal update will revamp San Vansterdam by introducing new skateable zones and barriers along with a visual enhancement.
Additionally, a couple of events will be happening, specifically Skate-o-Ween — the game’s take on Halloween, of course — and the 7-Ply Maple Harvest. These occasions will refresh community parks to correspond with the theme, along with themed cosmetics that can be acquired using in-game Tix, earned by engaging in the events.
Season 1 will also feature 40 fresh challenges that will rotate into the game weekly, and new Seasonal Tasks are being added — these include your daily, weekly, seasonal, and event objectives.
Moreover, the introduction of the Skate Pass will occur, offering both a complimentary and a premium tier. These will bring various enjoyable rewards to acquire, such as new apparel, decks, and more.
In addition to all this, the soundtrack will be updated with 21 new tracks. These consist of:
- Bad Religion – Against The Grain
- Dinosaur Jr. – Freak Scene
- Gang Star – Full Clip
- Jane’s Addiction – Stop!
- Sonic Youth – Teen Age Riot
- Joey Bad4$$ – Pardon Me
- Ice Cube – Bop Gun (One Nation)
- Naughty By Nature – It’s On
- Operation Ivy – Sound System
- Skegss – L.S.D (Live. Sleep. Die)
It’s quite a substantial update, then. Will you be exploring Season 1 of Skate? Roll down to the comments section below.
