It’s more than 200!
As anticipated, Bandai Namco will persist in backing Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero through 2026, with the latest trailer hinting at an announcement for January.
Believe it or not, the explosive fighter has been available for nearly a whole year now, having originally debuted on PS5 on the 11th of October, 2024.
In that duration, it has acquired three DLC expansions, each featuring a variety of new characters to play as. All of these are included in a larger Season Pass, leading us to assume that a Season Pass 2 is likely on the horizon.
Some enthusiasts have claimed that Sparking! Zero’s DLC and update timeline has been somewhat lacking considering the impressive sales the game has achieved over the past year. Indeed, it took Bandai Namco considerably long to resolve certain balancing and connectivity problems.
Nevertheless, the character roster currently boasts an astonishing 208 fighters — and it’s seemingly poised to expand even further.

Perhaps a bit too much, some might suggest.
